David Palmer joined ABC in
1982 to play on their debut album "The Lexicon Of Love". He left after the
Matrap world tour in 1983 to join the Yellow Magic Orchestra. In 1985 he played on a
couple of tracks on the Zillionaire album and re-appeared briefly as a band member for the
release of "Ocean Blue". In 1989 he played on "Up" and in 1998 he
wrote a number of tracks with Martin Fry and his song-writing partner Chuck Kentis,
including "Peace And Tranquility". But what else did he do since he left the
band? 
David Palmer is renowned as one of the most talented and
sought-after Percussionists in the world today. He has collaborated with some of the most
celebrated gold and platinum selling international recording artists in the music
industry, including The Pet Shop Boys, Tom Jones, Art of Noise, The The, Billy Squier,
Paul Young, Bryan Adams, Sting, Al Green, Danny Wilson, Jeff Golub, as well as a twelve
year recording and touring relationship with Rod Stewart. David's accomplishments as an
internationally acclaimed Percussionist, Producer, Songwriter, Performer and Recording
Artist represent an extraordinary career that has made a significant contribution to the
performing arts. He has collaborated on numerous hit records which have graced the top
tiers of nearly every Billboard music chart in the United States and Great Britain. He has
been featured more than once on television's most watched music and entertainment
networks, programs and award shows, including: "The Tonight Show", "The
Late show With David Letterman", "Saturday Night Live", "The Today
Show", "MTV's Unplugged", "The American Music Awards", The 1993
World Music Awards", and an appearance at the Billboard Music Awards". David has
worked with Trevor Horn on several musical pieces including the albums: "A Spanner in
the Works", (Rod Stewart), and "Lead Vocalist" (Rod Stewart/Faces). David
is now transitioning his broad musical range, experience and talent into the world of film
composing along with his partner, Chuck Kentis. The pair of them scored scored two
independent films together, "Gringo" and "Journey Man".
